While Alkhebra Consulting is a newly opened company, during few months it succeeded in submitting a number of important projects in Qatar some of which are with major clients. Because of our local networks and contacts, we are able to engage and bring in business in both environment and research consultancy services. We are also open to collaborate with any local company in executing any project relevant to our business especially those projects where we have no or less expertise. We believe that collaboration in certain projects is a win-win approach to sustainability.
This project involves an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) survey for transmission and distribution projects of the electricity and water networks – Kahramaa for a Water Reservoir. This EIA Survey is proposed to be conducted in sole compliance with the Qatari National Environmental Protection Law 30/2002 and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS 2014 Section 11-23.15.) with detailing all environmental aspects and their imminent environmental impact during the pre-construction, construction and operational phases. Provision of an Environmental Management Plan (CEMP, OEMP) with appropriate recommendation on preventive measures.
A Particulate Matter (PM) speciation study for Qatar Petroleum within the Ras Laffan Industrial City. The proposal is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of projects impacts on environmental impact for a better design and operation of monitoring plans and programs, analyses of ambient air quality, assessment of source-receptor relationship, transport of PM and analyses of transboundary air quality (particulate) impacts and qualitative Risk Assessment.
This project involves an environmental analysis and baseline survey in achieving the Environmental permit license for a Marble Factory project at Mesaieed Industrial City. Establishing environmental compliance, mitigation requirements, a full assessment of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and developing an Environmental Management Plan during all phases of the project which includes Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and Operational Environmental Management Plan (OEMP).
Alkhebra Consulting is partnering with Coastal Environment of the USA, which has more than 30 years of experience in marine environment to conduct multiple surveys and assessments of a 120 square Kilometer of Khor Al-Udaid area in south of Qatar. This project involves a Terrestrial and Marine Survey and Assessment, scientific surveys, cultural and archaeological surveys, geological and environmental surveys, topography and bathymetry, database and GIS development, geomorphological surveys, threat assessment, management plans and ecotourism development, and achieving a UNESCO World Heritage nomination for khor Al-Udaid Nature Protected Area Survey. This area is tidal embayment surrounded by large barchan dunes, designated by Qatar as a Protected Area and identified as by Ramsar as a Wetland of International Importance. This area was submitted in the past to the country’s Tentative List for possible nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage List on the basis of five of ten assessment criteria for outstanding examples of natural and cultural importance to the international community. These criteria include superlative natural phenomena and exceptional natural beauty (Criteria VII), significant geomorphic features (VIII), and important habitat for the preservation of biodiversity (X), among others. The reserve is renowned for bird species, and harbors unique assemblages of halophilic and thermophilic species valuable in understanding adaptations to extreme environments
This project involves establishing a standard Waste Management Plan with provision of skips for waste management and collection services of domestic waste, general waste and recyclable waste.
This projects offers a consultancy services to support the development of a systematic Qatar National Health Policies, which shall strengthen the Research Department at Ministry of Public Health (RD-MoPH) role not only as the regulator of Qatar’s national health research but also as a major player in advancing the national health research agenda. The policies are built based on international best practices, focused on delivering robust and high-quality outcomes, and developed in conjunction with key sector stakeholders. Specifically, this project is 14 months in duration with phase 1 aimed at the Development of an Overall Framework of a General Policy while in discussions with relevant stakeholders and then phase 2 which actually builds multiple polices such as policy to define the responsibilities of MoPH as a regulator and other policy such as the mechanism for Research Misconduct and ethical non-compliance Policy among many more.
This project involves a design and construction stage for GSAS consultancy and Facilitation for Container Terminal (CT2) Hamad Port extension project with Q-terminals to achieve a 2-star GSAS Certification from the design stage to the construction stage, GSAS method statement and execution plan to achieve 2-Stars rating with GORD Certification in a cost effective manner for the CT2 expansion project.
